My sewing machine!!

Like I said before I was going to put up a picture of my sewing machine. I recently lost my bobbin cover which I am highly upset and also I noticed I misplaced my walking foot. I can't wait till this move happens because I'm just missing things left to right :( anyway I finally got down my tension just right! I bet your wondering what a tension is for you guys that don't know. Well, tension means the firmness in thread as it moves from the spool to the needle. Fascinating right? Well I will be posting up a bunch of things soon !

Happy sewing !

SEWING TODAY

Sewing was and still is craft that has been around for many years and the beautiful thing now is that there is some many people interested in either coming back to sewing or wanting to start like myself  and enjoy the aspects of a good craft at it's finest.
I think the reason why I started to sew was because I want to find a way to incorporates my OWN style and no others way of dressing. Reecently I have been reading this book about sewing and I must say it is a very good book once again I am thinking of purchasing this book. I usually read them from the library and then if i think it's a good enough book to add to my collection then so be it. I am learning so much from my mistakes. I mentioned this book in a prior post. The other post gives a detail message into this book and the history of sewing and it's worth every page. Check it out! Well happy sewing!

HISTORY OF SEWING

Why we sew? Well throughout human history, sewing has been an essential necessity. Constructing clothing and shelter from animal hides!! Weaving and spinning fibers into cloth to be stitched, creating containers and bags for carrying and storing essentials have all been accomplished with needle, awl, thread and skill. Our modern world affords us the luxury of avoiding the need to sew as a means simply to clothe ourselves and allows us remarkable access to ready-to-wear clothing, crafts and home decor. In recent years, though,we seen a huge increase in the number of individual s worldwide who are motivated to sew, create, craft and mold fabric into new forms. Why the surge, and what does it reflect about us?

I just finished watching the seven year itch with Marilyn Monroe and it was quite a movie. I would say it wasn't that entertaining but I did love the outfits. What do you think?

Daring to Live

Okay,

I wanted to start this blog for everyone that loves anything that has to do with fashion. I also want to include a little about myself. I am a young women that has a disability; that was always told that life for you won't be easy and I should take it easy. This is true but who's life is easy at all?
And why should I take it easy? I want to prove to myself mainly and to those that have a so call stigma. I believe if you want something work towards it. You only live once!
